SWF Pop-Up Shops Bring the Carpentry Apprenticeship Program to Life!

Just in time for the 2017 holiday season, Sweet Water Foundation engaged in our first-ever retail experience, hosting pop-up shops in the months of November and December at the Chicago Design Market in the Block 37 mall in downtown Chicago and The Silver Room in Hyde Park. The pop-up shops featured the work of our apprentices with products ranging from small items such as business card holders, napkin rings, and phone stands to bookshelves and dining room tables.

Sweet Water Foundation produces a wide range of designer furniture and home goods via our carpentry program using reclaimed, recycled and repurposed wood and materials. Our team has also been commissioned for a number of custom furniture design and build projects, with clients that include the Obama Foundation, Hyde Park Art Center, and the Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago.

If you or your business is interested in working with SWF to design and build custom furniture, please contact us at info@sweetwaterfoundation.com.
